Law first Finance collects information via our website(s) using web forms.  The information collected by these web forms is used solely for the purpose of contacting the consumer for new applications, program qualifications and customer support and service. The web forms collect basic contact information such as name and email address.

By using this website, you consent to this privacy policy, including your consent to our use and disclosure of information about you in the manner described in this privacy policy. The information and data collected from web forms is stored in an offline database that is not connected to or integrated with any other third-party applications. Furthermore, Law First Finance does not sell or share any data collected from our web forms with any third-party vendors for marketing or other purposes.

Information Collection and Use:

 

With your authorization, we may obtain additional information about you or others who may have an interest in your insurance policy, annuity contract or primary residence, from additional sources, including your insurance company, insurance producer, health care providers, creditors, credit reporting agencies and your representatives or advisors. With your authorization, we may also obtain information about you from public records and other persons.

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the transaction(s) you have with us. This information can include:

  • Social Security number and contact information (e.g.: name, address, telephone number(s), email)

  • Transaction information, details, and balances, transaction history and any other information resulting from a transaction with one of our divisions

  • Credit history/credit score, information contained in public records, and any other information and documents you provide to us or authorize us to obtain

  • Non-public health information, where applicable

 

Disclosure About Sharing your Information:

Only with your consent will Law First Finance rent or sell your non-public personal information to anyone. If required by law, we will disclose your information. Only with your permission will we disclose your non-public personal health information to our affiliates and non-affiliated companies that provide services for us related to a transaction you request.

Also with your authorization, we will disclose your nonpublic personal health information to entities that provide us with financing or financial support for a transaction that you request. As permitted by law and with your authorization, we may disclose your health information to allow our authorized representative to contact you for purposes of determining your current health status.

Sharing Regarding Products and Services:

If you submit a request for information or services concerning annuities, structured settlements, insurance and cash advances, you will be asked to provide your personal information (such as your full name, email address and phone number). We share your information with nonaffiliated businesses within our network of partners that provide a product or service that you desire. If we share with one or more of these nonaffiliated entities in order to fulfill your request, the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information is subject to the privacy policy of that entity. Our partner business may contact you by phone, email or regular mail based on information you provided. This is true even if you opted into the national Do Not Call List administered by the Federal Trade Commission or if you opted into a state equivalent of the Federal Do Not Call List.

If one of our partner businesses contacts you by phone and you do not wish to be called again by that entity, you should follow the guidelines set up by the Do Not Call List and specifically request not to be called again. Please note that our partner businesses may maintain the information you provided even if you do not elect to use their services. We will share your information with 3rd parties, including CBC Settlement Funding for the sale of structured settlements and/or with an independent insurance agency or agent if you have indicated you are interested in purchasing annuities and/or insurance products.

How do we protect your personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use administrative, physical, and technical security measures. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

Our control policies authorize access to customer information by individuals who need access to the information to do their work.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

 Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for Affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness

  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you

  • Sharing for Non-affiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.
